Where does your
income rank on Earth?

This ranking doesn't look up every human's bank account. It uses the World Bank's published global income distribution to estimate where you land. Being clear about that is the point.

Note: "2021" is the price base year (the ICP benchmark), not the data year. The data is from 2023; household surveys are usually published one or two years late.

Conversion

• Everything is shown in US dollars; input is treated as 2021 international dollars (US factor ≈ 1)
• Reference: global median ≈ $9 / day, global mean ≈ $21 / day

Method

Between the World Bank's published thresholds ($1, $2, $3, $5, $8, $15, $30, $100 …) the income is log-interpolated to get the share of the population below it, then multiplied by world population to get a rank.

Streak & titles

• A "pass" day means beating 50% of the world (about $9/day). Days below the line don't count toward the streak.
• Titles come in common, rare and hidden tiers. Hidden ones need special conditions (zero income, $10k/day, seven-day streak).
• Streaks and titles are stored on this device only. Clearing the cache resets them.

To make the number "real", you'd switch to a ranking of actual users of your own app — that data is exact, it just needs users first.
